Important information for families at HoneyBee Lane Bees
Welcome to HoneyBee Lane Bees, where the magic of nature meets the buzzing world of honey bees. We are a honey bee breeder located in Duncan, British Columbia, Canada, specializing in high-quality honey, nucs, and Queens raised on our forested organic farm. We're excited to share this incredible experience with your family.

For our young visitors and their families
We love sharing the fascinating world of honey bees with children. Many young visitors are completely captivated by the bees, and for some families, it is their child's first close encounter with nature, pollinators, and life on a working bee farm. To help everyone have an enjoyable and safe experience, we ask parents and guardians to read the following information before booking.

What to expect during your visit
Our tours begin with a short presentation of approximately 15 minutes. This is where we share some surprising (and often humorous) facts about honey bees and provide important safety information before visiting the viewing areas. Many visitors describe this part of the experience as being a little like "church for bees"—everyone gathers together, listens, asks questions, and learns a few remarkable things before meeting the bees themselves. The remainder of the visit includes viewing live honey bees, exploring the farm, and learning how bees live and work.
Is This Tour Right for My Child?
Group tours are best suited to children who are comfortable participating in a 15-minute guided presentation and following simple safety instructions.
Every child is different. Some children are fascinated by bees and enjoy learning as part of a group. Others may find it difficult to remain with the group or may simply prefer a more flexible experience.
If your child is very active, has difficulty remaining with a group, or would be happier exploring at their own pace, a private family visit may be a better option.

What We Ask of Parents and Guardians
HoneyBee Lane Bees is a working bee farm. For the safety of our visitors, livestock, and honey bees, children must:
- Remain with their parent or guardian throughout the visit
- Follow basic safety instructions
- Refrain from climbing on fences, gates, equipment, or farm structures
- Respect other visitors attending the tour
Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising their children at all times.
Safety Comes First
As HoneyBee Lane Bees is a working bee farm, safety is always our highest priority.
We reserve the right to modify, pause, or discontinue a visit if safety instructions cannot be followed. This is rarely necessary, but it helps protect our visitors, our animals, and our bees.
Our goal is simple: for every visitor—young or old—to leave having learned something new, laughed a little, and gained a greater appreciation for the remarkable world of honey bees.
